What a Day!

School was so boring today. The monotonous sound of the teachers could lull me to sleep. After school, i went home hurriedly, hungry for dinner. Dinner was delicious as always, with Mother's expertise cooking. My mother told me there was a package in my room, so after gobbling up dinner, i went up the stairs and into my room.

I saw a parcel with nothing written on it. No tag, no words, no pictures, nothing. It was just a plain brown box sealed with tape. I ripped open the anonymous package, only to find a mysteriously small tollbooth and a map of an unknown place. The map was titled 'Kingdom of Wisdom'. Excited from my discovery, I quickly assembled the tollbooth, and with the map in my hand, I got on my toy car, driving through the tollbooth.

In a twinkling of an eye, I found myself in the Kingdom of Wisdom, the place on the map. Enjoying the ride, I payed no attention to the route I was going to and soon found myself lost in the Doldrums, a colorless place where thinking and laughing were not allowed. However, a dog with a alarm clock on his body named Tock, saved me and joined me on my journey. On my way, I met more and more helpful friends, and together, we go on a quest to save the princesses of Dictionopolis and Digitopolis, Rhyme and Reason, who were the key to restore harmony in the two capitals of Wisdom.

In the Mountains of Ignorance, we contend with lurking, obstructionist demons like the Terrible Trivium and the Senses Taker. I had to thwart them from stopping his quest by using gifts I received in Wisdom. After overcoming many obstacles and our fears, we reach the Castle in the Air. The two princesses welcomed us and agreed to return to Wisdom to solve the crisis.

It seemed as though weeks have past since I started the journey in the Kingdom of Wisdom. However, as I drove through the tollbooth and got warped back to my own room, I found out it has been merely minutes since I entered my room!

On and on the day goes, and finally I am on my bed, reflecting on today's spectacular journey. I'm so excited to go on another journey tomorrow!
